Welcome to the City of Jonesboro Human Resources website. We are committed to the recruitment, retention, and development of staff that will provide effective and efficient services to the residents of Jonesboro. The Human Resources Department is responsible for administering a variety of programs and services for the City including, but not limited to, benefits, salary, and classification administration, worker's compensation, discipline and grievances.

Employment Verifications


All employment verifications must be submitted via fax to 870-933-4652 or email to hr@jonesboroar.gov.  Requests must include a signed authorization from the previous or current employee in question.

Once a verification is received, the Human Resources Department will only verify:
•Job Title
•Dates of Employment
•Employment status (full/part-time)
•Salary/overtime/pay information
