Mayor Copenhaver was honored to speak yesterday at SERVPRO of Jonesboro's inaugural NEA First Responder Hero Day recognizing those on the front lines of emergencies and the vital role they play in our society. Awards were given out to those who have shown excellence in their line of work, including Jamie Seaborn of the Jonesboro Police Department, Bill Vacco of the Fire Department, Cody Latner of the Craighead County Sheriff's Department, Billy Brown of Emerson Ambulance service, and the Hurricane Deployment Team of Medic One Ambulance Service. Our own Jonesboro Firefighters Pipes and Drums provided music in tribute and a lunch was served afterwards to all first responders to thank them for their service.
