Cemeteries

The City of Jonesboro Cemeteries is a division of the Parks and Recreation Department and operates four municipal cemeteries. These cemeteries are located within Jonesboro city limits and consist of 125+ acres of cemetery grounds and more than 14,000 burials. The Cemetery Division is located at the Parks and Recreation office at 3009 Dan Ave. Parks staff manages the grounds, administrative operations, burials, and historic resources.

The municipal cemeteries include City Cemetery, Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Nettleton Cemetery, and Oaklawn (formerly Woodlawn) Cemetery. 

While the Cemetery Division arranges interments at every cemetery, burial spaces are only available for purchase in Nettleton and Oaklawn cemeteries. Please see Cemetery Plot Sales information for all pricing.

Burials

To schedule a burial, please email COJCemeteries@jonesboroar.gov. Burials must be scheduled 48 hours in advance.
